Ooh, scrappy...

Oh my goodness! I have SO many fabric scraps that I cannot bear to throw away! Something about putting strips of totally usable fabric in a landfill just makes me feel guilty, so I have two or three sandwich bags full of scraps in my sewing cabinet. I've told myself that when the time comes, I'll know what to do with them. Maybe use them as stuffing for a pillow or plushie??

I've actually come across a couple of pretty neat tutorials for reusing all those scraps.

The first one is kind of old and you may have seen it before. Its from the "show" Threadbanger, which I used to watch all the time on youtube. (Unfortunately, Threadbanger has been re-cast and Rob and Corinne are no longer the hosts. *sad face*)

I just love this idea, and I'm totally in love with fabric cuffs so its PERFECT!

The second tutorial I found a few days ago on the blog "heartmade", which is a cute little blog full of great creative business tips and other crafty stuff, written by Mayi Carles.

I love manila tags, and even considered fashioning Save-the-Dates for my wedding out of them. When I saw this DIY I thought it was too cute not to try. What an awesome way to use up my bags of scraps!

You really could do anything with these tags, but Mayi has included a PDF file you can download for the labels she created. You can find the full tutorial over here.

Do you have a fabric scrap issue? Any other suggestions as to how one can reuse them? I'd love to hear what you think.

I wish I could take credit for their cuteness. I DO love them though. :)
